Maintenenace Tips

Your fence is an important part of your landscape. It will serve its purpose longer if you follow some practical preventive maintenance.

Give your fence an annual check-up for:
  • Rotted or loose posts – They should resist a good push

  • Loose pickets – Hammer or screw them back on

  • Loose chain link fabric – Secure to rails and posts with metal ties

  • Loose hinges – Keep bolts or screws tightened

  • Loose rails – Hammer or screw them back on

  • Decayed wood rail ends – Use wood blocks to secure rails to posts

  • Loose bolts, screws, nails or fasteners – Tighten them up!
These helpful prevention tips should prolong the longevity of your fence.
